Having successfully raised over £12,000 pounds for St Peters Hospice across the past 18 months, Icon Films have decided that we’ll be raising money for Bristol Food Banks as part of our ongoing charity efforts. One in five people in the UK live below the poverty line, and food banks like the ones we’ll be supporting in Bristol aim to provide essential sustenance to people in need.

With a range of seasonal events planned including Gingo Bells, regular game nights and today’s bake sale, we’re hoping to raise as much funds as possible over the festive season and beyond. Thanks to Pie Minister, who catered our first charity board games night, we’ve already raised £336!

Our fundraising also contributes towards the Going for Gold Bristol campaign, encouraging local individuals and businesses to reconsider how they purchase, consume and dispose of food. With the goal of helping Bristol become a Gold Sustainable Food City, the campaign comprises of a variety of actions organisations can take to become more sustainable. Taking on food inequality is their latest action point addition.

If you’re a company who might be able to donate catering services or prizes for our bingo night or any future charity events, please get in touch with Liz Tresidder at liz.tresidder@iconfilms.co.uk.
