Work Experience

With the unique role that broadcasting has in shaping and reflecting society’s values, we know that our staff and work experience placements must reflect our diverse society and will enrich our organisation. We run an ambitious and structured voluntary work experience and outreach programme across the year and encourage applicants from a variety of ages, background and locations.

Edit Producers x 4

We are looking for dynamic and creative Edit Producers for a new National Geographic Adventure format. Must have previous Edit Producer credits on hour long factual programmes and ideally have experience of shaping bold, visually distinctive, narrative led, hosted factual formats. Also crucial is a good understanding of writing for the US audience.

Finishing Assistant (Freelance)

We are an internationally established production company creating a broad range of factual content. We are seeking a freelance Finishing Assistant with Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve experience to work with the Post-Production Manager to ensure in-house editing services are delivered to the highest creative and technical standards.


The Finishing Assistant will be responsible for the following:


  • Pre-grading picture locked sequences
  • Conforming proxy resolution clips to native resolution rushes
  • Creating end of edit elements
  • Source checking and cutting in archive
  • Organising and managing online projects and media
  • Quality checks of audio and online elements
  • Creating deliverable masters and associated documents


Skills/Experience Required


  • Experience working in a post-production environment in an edit/craft support role
  • Experience working with Avid Media Composer
  • Experience working with Pro Tools
  • Experience working with DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience working with Telestream Vidchecker
  • Reading and interpreting broadcaster tech specs
  • An exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to quickly analyse and solve problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent general IT skills across both Mac and PC
  • In depth knowledge of broadcast technology and theory such as codecs, frame rates and bit rates


Initial work will be from 16th April – 14th May, with scope for further work beyond.

Production Managers

We are looking for TWO  talented and collaborative PRODUCTION MANAGERS to work on a range of adventurous projects in 2021/22. We support ambitious people to develop their careers in a company that values Production Management and is committed to the wellbeing of our teams, inclusivity and sustainability
