We’re pleased that once again an Icon Films production has received a three-star rating from albert, the BAFTA-lead organisation recognising sustainability across film and television. Produced with the Natural History Film Unit (Botswana) and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Hippos: Africa’s River Giants is an upcoming BBC Two programme following the hippos of the Okavango Delta. Unable to swim yet entirely dependent on water to survive, these hippos are fascinating creatures of contradiction.

Our production team has worked alongside the green team at Icon Films to ensure this production are as sustainable as possible, working to offset the carbon footprint that often comes hand in hand with making television. Making up part of the BBC’s Natural World strand, Hippos: Africa’s River Giants will broadcast on BBC Two on Friday the 26th July at 9pm.
